This is pure decadence in a dish! Chocolate pudding spiked with Kahlua, Bailey's & Cointreau...yum.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon fiori di sicilia
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chopped semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1/4 cup Cointreau
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch, and salt…be sure to remove all the clumps as you whisk.

Slowly whisk the water with the dry ingredients, then whisk in the fiori di sicilia and the heavy cream. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chocolate, whisking until the chocolate melts.

Whisk the Bailey’s, Cointreau & Kahlua into the pudding.

Pour the pudding into a lidded storage bowl, stirring occasionally as it cools, to prevent a skin from forming……lay a piece of plastic wrap on the surface of the pudding to further prevent a skin from forming.

Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Serve the B-52 chocolate pudding cold with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.

This dessert is adapted from Chocolate Intemperance from www.kingarthurflour.com.
Fiori di Sicilia is an amazing combination of citrus and vanilla with a pleasingly floral aroma…it is great in everything from chocolate desserts to sweet breads…it is exclusive to King Arthur Flour
If you do not wish to order Fiori di Sicilia, substitute 2 teaspoons vanilla extract & 1 teaspoon orange extract the tablespoon of Fiori di Sicilia…
